ABOUT

HISTORY

I suspect I’ve always been a “hidden” artist, perhaps I was born with the right DNA. Several of my relatives were artistic, especially my sister, Barbara.

Although I pursued other careers that enabled me to earn a “living,” I took advantage of opportunities to grow as an artist. For example, I participated in every art class available at Columbia University in New York City when I worked there.

After arriving in Columbus, Ohio I took classes at the Cultural Arts Center where I continue to develop my skills.

EXHIBITIONS

Over the years, I’ve had art exhibited at several venues including:

The Roy G Biv Gallery in Columbus; the Hills at The Pump Gallery, Chillicothe, Ohio; Evening with Art, Columbus Museum of Art Ohio State Fair; Miranova One; Griffin Gallery, Creekside, Gahanna; Riffe Gallery in the Rhodes Office Tower; COSI (Center of Science and Industry) as well as a solo exhibition at the Cultural Arts Center.

I expanded my skills to become an art curator as well as an artist for the Columbus Historical Society.

TECHNIQUE & MEDIUM

I work with pastels and collages. Because of my interest in nature and climate change, much of my art focuses on the beauty of the natural world as well as the consequences of destroying our environment.
